What is Cardiovasc® plus?
Cardiovasc® plus is a dietary supplement for normal function of the heart. It is the result of a long term research process.
- One capsule contains 10 scientifically proven active ingredients which are unique in their ability to protect the heart and blood vessels.
The unique formula is composed of:
- exceptional omega-3 fatty acids and astaxanthin from krill oil
- Q10 (to supply the cells with energy)
- magnesium*(contributes to electrolyte balance)
- iron*( necessary for the normal formation of red blood cells and haemoglobin )
- selenium and zinc (for normal functioning of the immune system and protection of cells from oxidative stress)
- vitamin B6 and B12 (for normal homocysteine metabolism which is related to the risk of developing cardiovascular disease).
* Magnesium and iron are bound in the form of chelates in order to facilitate a much higher level of absorption in comparison with inorganic salts (citrate, sulfate, oxide).
Composition of Cardiovasc® plus
The unique formula means each capsule contains:
- unique omega-3 fatty acids (EPA in DHA), phospholipids, astaxanthin from krill oil (100 % krill oil),
- natural coenzyme Q10,
- magnesium
- vitamin B6,
- vitamin B12,
- iron,
- selenium,
- zinc
100 % pure antarctic krill oil: EPA in DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart. As they bind to phospholipids, their bioavailability is increased. Phospholipids are the main components of cell membranes and act as microscopic barriers which prevent toxins from entering the body.
Astaxanthin is a carotenoid well known for its positive effects.
Coenzyme Q10 is vital for cell energy. It is an important vitamin-like substance extracted from natural sources. The body’s ability to produce coenzyme Q10 reduces with age.
Chelate form of magnesium enables a much higher level of absorption in comparison to other forms of magnesium. It contributes to the normal protein synthesis, to electrolyte balance and to normal energy-yielding metabolism.
Vitamin B6 functions as a coenzyme for metabolic processes. It contributes to the normal cysteine synthesis and homocysteine metabolism. It also contributes to the normal red blood cells formation.
Vitamin B12 contributes to the normal homocysteine metabolism, to normal red blood cel formation and has a role in the process of cell division. Difficulties in absorbing B12 and the consequent likelihood of B12 deficiency increases with age.
Chelate form of iron ensures its optimum absorption. Iron amino acid chelate has a 70-75% better absorption rate than iron sulfate, and 4-times higher bioavailability, which ensures a higher concentration of iron in the body. This contributes to normal oxygen transport in the body, to normal energy-yielding metabolism and to reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Selenium contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress and to the normal function of the immune system
Zinc contributes to normal DNA and protein synthesis, to the protection of cells from oxidative stress, to the normal function of the immune system and to normal metabolism of fatty acids.
Unique capsule
The form of the capsule itself, developed using innovative technology, makes it more effective by increasing the absorption, bioavailability and stability of the capsule. The specific form of the capsule makes it easier to swallow and easier to digest.
The capsules are odourless and flavourless.
The capsule coating is made from a mixture of beef and pork gelatin.

Recommended dosage and usage
Two capsules a day, preferably at breakfast.
In order to receive the full benefits of Cardiovasc® plus it needs to be taken for at least 12 weeks. Given its beneficial effects on the functioning of the heart and circulatory system we recommend it to be taken over the long term.
